21 Apr SEO,website visitors, and content repurposing
Great way of generating traffic to your website organically without spending a dollar.
Not all your customers drink at the same bar. In the same way, not all your customers hang out in a single marketing channel. We call content repurposing.
Everyone says content is the king for SEO and generating traffic to your site. It’s true. But it is also difficult to generate new ideas all the time and create new content which will attract your customer. In content repurposing we use the same content, but create it in different formats. Some customers would like to watch a video rather than reading it. So, using the same content and use it in different format.
Example: Videos which can be shared in channels like YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, Facebook etc. But some customers do not prefer videos. They would like to read and understand the content of the blog. Some would like to have it in the form of infographics, some in the form of slides.
Reasons why you should re-purpose your content: Re-purposing a content has great benefits: – Reaching a new audience: As mentioned before some like videos, some prefer emails or some like to read books and blogs. Reforming your content for different marketing channel helps you to reach new audience. – Generate more traffic to your website: As we reach new audience we tend to generate new visitors to the website. – Helps with improving SEO (Search engine Optimization). – It is cheaper – Taking advantage of the new opportunity: Right content at right time and right place can help you get more customers.
Different ways to repurpose your content: Create YouTube videos Turning old Blog Posts to a guide and converting them to an EBooks. You can use this on the landing page to for email subscription. Creating your blogs into SlideShare presentations. Turn your company interviews, webinars and press releases into videos and podcasts. Re-purposing the content is not only a great way of increasing life span of the content but also increases new audiences.
Another way is guest blogging in different websites which are relevant to the industry and country but not on competitor’s websites. This would create backlinks to your website. This is great way of building email list and relationship in the market. We should only guest blog on sites which has high number of quality visitors, do not go for sites which has low quality traffic.
Make sure your landing page is neat and clean and has rich content that attracts the readers. We can use A/B testing (also known as split testing or bucket testing) on the same set of audience and identifying which page or ad is performing better based on the likes or comments.
Great quality traffic can be generated by using psychographic analysis. What is psychographic analysis? Psychographic is similar to demographics but psychographic is understand the demographics behaviour.
Example: Psychographic: It is buyer’s habits, hobbies, spending habits and values. Demographics: It explains gender, age, income, marital status etc. We can only reach your targeted audience only by understanding both Demographics and Psychographics. This combination will start to form your buyer’s personality.
Performing all this and if we are not able to capture your audience email addresses or details, it would be a waste of time. We would require some kind of inbound marketing technique to capture customer details will be an effective way of marketing automation and hopefully get customers down the road.
Organic way of capturing audience is a very long process but effective process and it’s a kind of testing process with every business. Not all platforms work for every business. Testing must be performed all the time, there is no one such procedure we can follow to generate visitors. This will give lot of experience and in the journey, give good results.
